Mr. Anand Parthasarathy

Anand Parthasarathy was one of the first recipients of The PoleStar Award titled, 'IT for the Masses', for 1998 for a series of articles on IT published in The Hindu.

His journalistic career started in 1994 when he joined The Hindu as its IT Correspondent and later became the Consulting Editor (Information Technology), for The Hindu group. Prior to his entry into Journalism, Anand served the (Indian) Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for over 20 years.

Anand is a graduate in Instrumentation and Control from Poona University and has a Masters in Systems Engineering (specialized in Underwater Systems) from Birmingham University (UK). In 2009, Anand moved from The Hindu to start his own technology communications & consulting company, Online India Tech Pvt Ltd and the India IT news portal IndiaTechOnline (www.indiatechonline.com) of which he is the Editor. He is also an IT Consultant to Kerala Tourism.

Mr. Easwaradas Satyan (Ed Nair)

Easwaradas Satyan (Ed Nair) was one of the first recipients of The PoleStar Award titled, 'IT for Competitive Advantage', for 1998 for his contribution to Journalism.

Based in Gurgaon, Ed is the editor of Dataquest and Global Services that covers Indian IT and the global outsourcing industry respectively. In this global role, Ed is very well networked with senior tech and business executives with Fortune100 companies in the US.

He also collaborates with B-schools (Duke- Fuqua, Univ. of Maryland-Smith, Thunderbird) in the US on various research assignments related to technology and global sourcing. Ed has spent over 22 years in technology research and technology media. Ed has a degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai and an MBA from Thunderbird School for Global Management, AZ.
